Frequently Asked Questions

infoWhat is YosrMed?expand_more
YosrMed is a family health companion for Morocco. It brings together a guard pharmacy finder, a medication scanner, a research hub carrying medicine recalls and published studies, a family health log and a medical store — all in one place, in English, Français or العربية.
lockIs my data private?expand_more
Your profiles, readings, medications, appointments and vaccination records are kept in your browser, and on our servers where you use an account or sync between devices. You can download everything as a readable file, or delete every record from the device in one action, from Account & my data in the header menu. Full details on the Privacy Policy.
local_pharmacyHow do I find a guard pharmacy at night?expand_more
Open the Pharmacy tab and filter by city, or tap 'Near me' to sort by real distance. The directory holds 6,732 real pharmacies from OpenStreetMap. It knows where they are but almost never when they open — barely 1 in 200 publishes its hours — so most cards say 'hours not listed' and you should call before travelling. Guard (garde) rotations are shown for Marrakech and Agadir, straight from the weekly lists their syndicates publish, and only while the week they state is current. No other Moroccan city publishes its rotation in a form an app can read, so everywhere else YosrMed says so and helps you phone a pharmacy that will know.
document_scannerHow do I scan a medication or prescription?expand_more
Typing the name is the main way, and it reaches all 12,496 products with a tolerance for typos. Scanning the barcode works where the box carries one — about 5,129 products — and is useful because it identifies the exact pack, which the refill countdown needs. Reading a prescription or a label from a photo is not built yet: there is no text recognition in YosrMed, and the camera reads barcodes only.
verifiedWhat do the CNSS/AMO badges mean?expand_more
They show the reimbursement base published for that medicine in the Guide des Médicaments Remboursables, and what AMO covers of it — 70%, or 100% for a long-term condition. Where a medicine has no published base it is not reimbursable, and where we do not hold the product at all there is no badge, because saying nothing is right when nothing is known.
monitor_heartHow do I track my family's health?expand_more
Add a profile for each member of the family, then log blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen, blood sugar and weight, record medications and set dose reminders, and follow the childhood vaccination schedule from a date of birth. YosrMed records what you enter and does not judge it — it marks nothing as normal or abnormal. Use 'Report for your doctor' on the Health page to print the whole record and take it to someone who can read it.
wifi_offCan I use YosrMed offline?expand_more
Mostly. Install it from your browser menu ('Add to Home Screen' or the install chip) and the pages, the medicines database, the First-Aid Guide and the emergency numbers all work with no connection. The pharmacy directory needs one visit online first, and the research feeds show the last copy they fetched, with its age stated.
tuneHow do I change language or theme?expand_more
Use the flag menu in the header to switch between English, Français and العربية (with full right-to-left support), and the sun/moon switch next to it for dark or light mode. Both choices are remembered across every page.
